How to choose a hologram display.
Decide what it has to do before you compare products. Most of the choice follows from that.

Choose a hologram display by starting with its job: showing a person at full height, showing a product, answering questions, or taking touch. Then check that your room can take it, that you have or can make the content, and whether you need it once or every day.

Start with the job
The same word, hologram, covers very different products. A small spinning fan and a 7-foot display both get called holograms, and they do different work. So write down what should happen in the room before you look at any specification.
| What you need | What to look for | Example |
|---|---|---|
| A speaker in another city | A full-height display and a live video link | Hitachi: an executive in Tokyo on a New Delhi stage |
| Visitors asking questions | An AI avatar, with a microphone and camera | Race Eco Chain: Maya, an AI receptionist |
| A product too big to bring | A large panel and touch | Fluidra: a pool and plant room, explored in 3D |
| A message on repeat | Recorded content that plays on its own | Monotech: a CEO's welcome, looped for four days |
| A small eye-catcher | Possibly a fan, not a life-size display | Fan or life-size? |
Check the size against the room
Height decides most of this. If a person should appear at full height, the ceiling sets your limit. HoloBox comes in two sizes.
| 7-foot | 6-foot | |
|---|---|---|
| Panel | 86-inch transparent 4K | 65-inch transparent 4K |
| Unit height | 213 cm | 167.64 cm, plus a 6-inch podium |
| Width and depth | 128.2 x 60 cm | 93.45 x 60 cm |
| Weight | 220 kg | 120 to 145 kg |
| Best for | A person at full height on a stage or stand | Rooms where the ceiling is low |
Be honest about content
The display is only half of it. A hologram looks right when the content is made for a transparent panel: the subject stands clear, with nothing behind them. Ordinary films and slides may not suit it.
- If you have nothing yet: our XR Design Centre in Noida can make it. Content is priced separately.
- If you have footage: ask whether it can be converted, and what the result will look like.
- If it's a person: decide whether they appear live, are recorded once, or are built as an AI avatar. See live, recorded or AI.
Check the room before you commit
Displays of this size are heavy, and they're for indoors. The 7-foot unit weighs 300 kg in its flight case, and needs a clear route, an earthed socket and a level floor. Sunlight is the usual problem: keep it away from direct sun and glass roofs. See what a venue needs.
Questions to ask any supplier
- What does the price include? Is content, transport, tax or an operator extra?
- Can I see it running before I decide?
- Who makes the content, and who runs it on the day?
- What's the warranty, and how quickly do you respond?
- Which real clients have used this model?
Questions, answered.
What size hologram display do I need?
For a person at full height, choose a 7-foot unit. Where the ceiling is low, the 6-foot model is the better fit, with a 65-inch panel.
Can I see a HoloBox before I decide?
Yes. You can see one running at our Noida Experience Centre, by appointment.
Do I need to rent or buy?
That depends mostly on how often you'll use it. See rent or buy.
