Planning a hologram display for Indian venues.

A life-size hologram display suits Bharat Mandapam, Yashobhoomi and Jio World Convention Centre, but plan the route in early.

A HoloBox911 at TechHR India '26, Yashobhoomi
The short answer

A life-size hologram display suits Bharat Mandapam, Yashobhoomi and Jio World Convention Centre, but plan the route in early. A 7-foot HoloBox911 is 213 cm high and weighs 220 kg, or 300 kg in its flight case. It needs one earthed single-phase socket and an indoor spot away from direct sunlight. Check the floor, any goods lift, the power order and the light. Your show's exhibitor manual sets the stand rules, so read it when you book.

An air-conditioned marquee counts as indoors. One person can roll the unit on level ground. Leaving a building, or using a lift or stairs, takes an 8-person crew with the flight case.

The five checks for any Indian venue

  • Floor. Is your stand on a ground floor or an upper level? Upper floors often carry a lower floor load than the ground.
  • Goods lift. If the stand is upstairs, the lift must take the 300 kg flight case. Ask when you can book it.
  • Power. Order one earthed single-phase socket at the stand, through whoever the venue or organiser names.
  • Route in. Walk the route from the loading point to the stand. Every door and turn must clear 8'6" by 4'5".
  • Light. The panel is transparent, so keep it away from direct sun, glass roofs and sunlit windows. You don't need a dark room.

Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi

Bharat Mandapam is run by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO). ITPO lists its new exhibition halls on two levels: a ground floor and a first floor. Halls 1 to 5 and 14 have both.

ITPO's standard layout for the first floor of Halls 2, 3, 4 and 5 gives a floor load of 1,020 kg per square metre. The same drawing marks cargo lifts of 7,000 kg and 2,500 kg. Both comfortably take a 300 kg flight case. Ask your organiser which lift serves your hall, and when you can use it.

We have worked at Bharat Mandapam several times. Fluidra showed an Olympic pool, a diving pool and a plant room at SFI Expo 2026. At Maruti Suzuki's vendor conference, an on-premise AI avatar answered vendor questions, and nothing left the building.

Yashobhoomi, Dwarka

Yashobhoomi, the India International Convention and Expo Centre, is in Dwarka Sector 25, New Delhi. Its operator lists two exhibition halls, Hall 1 and Hall 2, each with a 15 m clear ceiling. Its working manual gives a floor load of 5 tonnes per square metre in both halls. The halls have floor trenches carrying electricity, internet and other services.

Two rules in the operator's manual matter for a hologram display:

  • Venue-empanelled agencies are mandatory. The manual makes them compulsory for all tasks at Yashobhoomi, including logistics, power distribution and networking. Your power and network come through them.
  • No manual unloading inside. In the complex and the halls, materials must move on pallets or similar, handled by forklifts. Only empanelled forwarders may do this. Plan the flight case's move with the organiser's appointed agency.

We ran AI avatars and a live beam-in on one HoloBox911 at TechHR India '26 at Yashobhoomi.

Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai

Jio World Convention Centre is in Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai. The figures below are from the venue's published factsheet; confirm them with the venue for your dates. Its exhibition halls factsheet describes 15,000 square metres on the ground floor, divisible into three pavilions. It lists a 12 m ceiling height and a floor loading capacity of 5 tonnes per square metre.

The same factsheet describes features that make a heavy unit easier to bring in:

  • Same-level loading. A service driveway with 28 loading bays on the same level as the halls. Trucks can be allowed into the halls.
  • Floor utility boxes. Boxes on a 9 m grid for power, IT and AV, among other services. Ask the organiser for a box near your stand.
  • Daylight in the concourse. The factsheet describes daylight-filled, triple-height concourse areas. Keep a hologram display inside the halls, away from that daylight.

ACT21 used a 7-foot HoloBox911 and an interactive AI avatar here, at Global Fintech Fest.

Plan backwards from show day

  • As soon as you book the stand: read the exhibitor manual for height limits, power ordering and move-in times.
  • 2 to 4 weeks before: content made for you usually takes 2 to 4 weeks, so brief us early.
  • Before delivery: send us the hall, stand number and route. We check the route, lift and power with you.
  • On show day: recorded content and on-premise AI can run without internet. Only live telepresence needs a strong uplink at the sending end.
FAQs

Questions, answered.

Can a hologram display go on an upper floor at Bharat Mandapam?

Yes, with a goods lift. ITPO's layout for the first floor of Halls 2 to 5 marks cargo lifts of 2,500 kg and 7,000 kg. The packed unit weighs 300 kg. Ask your organiser for a lift slot.

What power does a hologram display need at an Indian venue?

One earthed single-phase socket. A 7-foot HoloBox911 runs on AC 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz, and draws 700 W at full load. Order it through the agency your venue or organiser names.

Can we bring our own crew to unload at Yashobhoomi?

Not for unloading inside the complex. The operator's manual says only empanelled forwarders may handle and move materials with forklifts. Plan the move with your organiser's appointed agency.

Will daylight affect the display?

It can. The panel is transparent, so keep it away from direct sun and glass roofs. At Jio World Convention Centre, the concourse is described as daylight-filled, so the halls are the better spot.

Does the hall need to be dark?

No. You don't need a dark room. Keep the area behind the unit uncluttered, and avoid sunlit windows and glass roofs.

Have you worked at these venues before?

Yes. We have worked at Bharat Mandapam for Fluidra and Maruti Suzuki. We have also worked at Yashobhoomi for People Matters TechHR, and at Jio World Convention Centre for ACT21. Send us your venue and we check it with you.
