Hologram telepresence for keynotes.
A speaker in one city appears on a stage in another, at full height, live. Here's how it works, and what it takes.

Hologram telepresence films a speaker against a green screen, removes the background, and streams the figure to a display on your stage, where they appear live at full height. It needs a 100 Mbps uplink at the sending end. HoloBox911 did this for Hitachi, from Tokyo to New Delhi.

How it works
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1. Capture | The speaker stands on a mark in front of a green screen. A studio or a spare meeting room will do |
| 2. Chroma key | The green is removed, so only the person travels, not the room |
| 3. Stream | The figure is sent to the venue, at up to 2K, over Ethernet or 4G |
| 4. Appear | They show inside the display at their own height, and the audience sees them without glasses or headsets |
A real example: Hitachi
For Hitachi's HR Convention in New Delhi, an executive stood in a Tokyo studio and addressed the event at full height. HoloBox911 ran the capture, the stream, the live show and post-production. No one had to fly.
| Client | Hitachi |
| Event | HR Convention, New Delhi |
| Live stream | Up to 2K |

What it needs
- At the speaker's end: a green screen, a camera and a 100 Mbps uplink.
- At the venue: the HoloBox, an earthed socket, a level floor and a network link. See what a venue needs.
- People: a crew to run the capture and the show. An operator is available at extra cost.
When it's the right choice
- The speaker can't travel, or the trip isn't worth it for one address.
- The audience needs to see them respond, not watch a film.
- The room is small enough for people to see the full figure clearly. For a very large hall, also think about how it works with an LED wall.
Beyond the stage
The same format works in a classroom. At IMT Ghaziabad, two guest speakers appeared live in a PGDM classroom without travelling, with two-way interaction. If the message doesn't need to be live, a recorded hologram is simpler.
Questions, answered.
What internet speed does hologram telepresence need?
A 100 Mbps uplink at the sending end.
Does the speaker need a studio?
Not necessarily. A studio or a spare meeting room will do, with a green screen.
Can the audience interact with the speaker?
Yes. At IMT Ghaziabad, the guest speakers and students had two-way interaction.
How can a senior leader speak at an event in India without travelling?
With live hologram telepresence. The leader is filmed where they are and appears life-size on the HoloBox911 at your venue, with two-way interaction. Hitachi's Tokyo executive addressed a New Delhi stage this way, with zero flights. The sending end needs a 100 Mbps uplink, and a smartphone on a tripod can be the camera.
