Hitachi Corporate Event, New Delhi
Hitachi, Ltd. is a Tokyo-headquartered technology group, established on 1 February 1920 and founded in 1910, which reported consolidated revenues of 10,586,781 million yen for the fiscal year ended 31 March 2026. This guide covers the company, how its group is structured, its nine decades in India, and one invited corporate event it convened in New Delhi. That event was an internal company gathering, not a publicly branded conference. Where a detail is not on the public record — the event's official name, its date, its venue, its agenda, how many people attended — this page says so rather than filling the gap.

Hitachi at a glance
Hitachi, Ltd.: the host organisation
Hitachi, Ltd. is a technology company with its head office at 6-6, Marunouchi 1-chome, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 100-8280, Japan. Its registered Japanese name is Kabushiki Kaisha Hitachi Seisakusho. The company was established on 1 February 1920 and traces its founding to 1910. Its representative is Toshiaki Tokunaga, Director, Representative Executive Officer, President & CEO, and its capital stood at 466,666 million yen as of the end of March 2026.
The business is organised around three sectors: Digital Systems & Services, Green Energy & Mobility, and Connective Industries. Automotive Systems is reported as a separate segment rather than as a fourth sector, which is a distinction worth keeping because the two framings appear side by side in older material. Across its public-facing sites Hitachi groups what it sells into Digital, Energy, Mobility, Industry, Measurement & Analytical Systems, Healthcare and Building Systems.
Hitachi frames the whole of it as its Social Innovation Business, built around social, environmental and economic value. The key message "Hitachi Social Innovation is POWERING GOOD" was set out in the company's 2021 Mid-term Management Plan and used publicly at CES 2020 and CEATEC 2020. That phrase is relevant to this page for one narrow reason: the words "Hitachi Social Innovation — Powering good" are legible on the stage backdrop in photographs of the New Delhi event covered here.
Founding, mission and values
Namihei Odaira founded Hitachi in 1910 in a mining machinery repair shop in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. Hitachi states its founding aspiration, which it now calls its Mission, as: "Contribute to society through the development of superior, original technology and products." The company names three founding Values on its own history pages.
- Harmony — the first of the three founding Values Hitachi names.
- Sincerity — the second founding Value.
- Pioneering Spirit — the third founding Value.
- The company's first product was a 5-horsepower induction motor, built in 1910.
- Hitachi describes itself as having solved social challenges through technology, data, partnerships and innovation "for over 110 years".
Hitachi, Ltd. and its group companies
"Hitachi" is not one company. Hitachi's own published count puts 606 group companies in the Hitachi Group. That makes the entity behind any given statement load-bearing: a figure about Hitachi, Ltd.'s consolidated group is not a figure about an Indian subsidiary, and a subsidiary's activity is not an achievement of the parent. Two entities matter for a corporate event held in New Delhi.
| Entity | What it is, and what it is not |
|---|---|
| Hitachi, Ltd. | The Tokyo-listed parent company, established 1920, head office in Marunouchi, Tokyo. Every revenue, employee and group-company figure on this page belongs to this entity's consolidated group — not to any single subsidiary, and not to the New Delhi event. |
| Hitachi India Pvt. Ltd. | A separate Indian subsidiary, registered office at Tower B, World Mark 1, Aerocity, New Delhi 110037. Hitachi Energy India Limited is a different, separately listed Indian company again. Hitachi India Pvt. Ltd. also publishes a standing clarification that it and its Indian business entities do not manufacture, sell or service Hitachi brand air conditioners. |
The corporate event in New Delhi
The event this page covers was a global company event convened by Hitachi in New Delhi, and it is documented in exactly one place: HoloBox911's own production record of the holographic keynote delivered into that room, together with the photographs taken on the day. Those sources establish the host, the city, the format, the technical set-up and the fact that an audience was seated for a stage keynote. They do not establish an official event name, a date, a venue, an agenda, a list of speakers or an attendance figure, and none of those is invented on this page. The descriptive title "Hitachi Corporate Event, New Delhi" is used here precisely because no publicly branded conference name is on the record. This was an invited, internal company event — no public registration, no ticketing, no exhibition floor — and it should not be read as, or compared with, a ticketed industry conference.
Host, audience, location and format
Four things about this event are documented well enough to state. Each is set out below with its limits marked, and nothing is extrapolated past them.
The host organisation
Hitachi convened the event as its own global company event. The organiser and the beneficiary were therefore the same party, which is the structural difference between a corporate event and a trade show: at a trade show a third-party organiser sells floor space and controls the agenda. There is no record of a co-host, a sponsor or an industry body involved here, and none is assumed.
Location
New Delhi. The city is documented; the venue is not. Hitachi India Pvt. Ltd.'s registered office is in Aerocity, New Delhi, but nothing on the record ties the event to that address or to any hotel, convention centre or auditorium, so no venue is named on this page.
Audience
An invited internal audience, physically present in the New Delhi room. The photographs show seated delegates in a conference layout facing the stage. How many people attended, which countries they travelled from and which business units they represented are not published anywhere, and no figure is estimated here — not a headcount, not a range, not a "hundreds of".
Format
A stage keynote delivered to a seated audience, with the speaker appearing from a studio in Tokyo rather than in person. The keynote ran approximately 20 minutes. Photographs also show the display unit standing in a lit lobby area with delegates walking up to it outside the main session, so the stage keynote was not the whole of the event — though what else was on the programme is not documented.
Corporate communication objectives
A global company event is a communication instrument before it is anything else. Hitachi's own account of how it engages in India is useful context: the company says it "collaborates with thought leaders, industry experts and policy makers through Social Innovation Forums and Conclaves". An internal company event has narrower aims than a public forum, and the three objectives below are general to corporate events of this kind, not claimed outcomes of this one. Nothing in the public record states what Hitachi set out to achieve in New Delhi, or what it achieved, so no result is reported here.
Reaching one audience with one message
One room, one sitting, one version of the message. For a group of 606 companies that is a real structural problem to solve: a message relayed down through management layers arrives differently in each of them. A company event collapses the relay into a single delivery that everyone present hears the same way.
Senior presence without senior travel
The binding constraint on senior leadership at a regional event is rarely willingness; it is the calendar. In this case the event date was fixed and could not move, and the executive's diary was the constraint. Delivering the keynote from a Tokyo studio removed the travel from the equation — no flights were booked for this appearance.
Matching the format to the company's own positioning
A company whose corporate message is built on technology and social innovation pays a quiet cost when its own events look conventional. The choice of format is itself a statement, and an internal audience reads it as one. That is an argument about consistency, not a claim that this event changed anyone's view.
Hitachi in India
Nine decades in the country
Hitachi states that "for over nine decades, Hitachi in India has stood as a trusted partner in the nation's progress". The Indian operation is presented as a regional business with its own named leadership rather than as a sales office, and a corporate event in New Delhi sits inside that structure rather than alongside it.

- N Venu — Managing Director & CEO, Hitachi Energy India Limited and Region Head of South Asia at Hitachi Energy; Managing Director, Hitachi India.
- Registered office: Hitachi India Private Limited, Tower B, World Mark 1, Aerocity, New Delhi 110037.
- Hitachi's India site states the group's strategic focus in the country as "Physical AI", guided by what it calls a "True One Hitachi" philosophy.
What Hitachi offers in India
The India site lists six product and solution areas: Digital, Energy, Mobility, Industry, Measurement & Analytical Systems, and Building Systems. Healthcare appears on Hitachi's global site but not on the Indian one — a difference worth noticing before assuming the two catalogues are the same.
- Sectors Hitachi names in India: energy, mobility, payments, education, healthcare and digital public infrastructure. These are the company's own words for where it is active in the country, not a claim about market position or share.
- A caution on entity names: Hitachi Energy India Limited is a separately listed Indian company and is not Hitachi India Pvt. Ltd. Hitachi India Pvt. Ltd. also states that it and its Indian business entities do not manufacture, sell or service Hitachi brand air conditioners.
Hitachi corporate statistics, by reporting year
Every figure below is a corporate statistic published by Hitachi about the Hitachi Group. None of them is an event statistic. No number on this page describes the New Delhi event — not attendance, not reach, not outcome — because Hitachi has published none, and a corporate figure must never be read as an achievement of a single event.
The figures, with entity scope and reporting period
| Figure | Value, entity scope and reporting period |
|---|---|
| Consolidated revenues | 10,586,781 million yen. Hitachi Group consolidated. Fiscal year ended 31 March 2026 (Hitachi's FY2025). Source: Hitachi, Ltd. corporate profile. |
| Consolidated revenues, as Hitachi rounds them | 10.6 trillion yen for FY2025, as stated in Hitachi's own "Hitachi at a Glance" panel. The same figure as the row above, rounded by the company. |
| Consolidated employees | 287,901 as of end of March 2026. Hitachi Group consolidated, across all group companies worldwide — not Hitachi, Ltd. standalone, and not India. |
| Group companies | 606, as published by Hitachi in 2026. These are consolidated group companies, not offices, sites or countries. |
| Capital | 466,666 million yen as of end of March 2026. Hitachi, Ltd. |
| Established | 1 February 1920. The company separately traces its founding to 1910, when Namihei Odaira built its first product. |
| Head office | 6-6, Marunouchi 1-chome, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 100-8280, Japan. |
| Representative | Toshiaki Tokunaga — Director, Representative Executive Officer, President & CEO, as listed on Hitachi's corporate profile in October 2026. |
| Net zero commitment | 2050, across Hitachi's value chain, as published by Hitachi in 2026. |
All figures are as published by Hitachi, Ltd. and read in October 2026. Hitachi's fiscal year ends 31 March, so "FY2025" means the year ended 31 March 2026. Employee and group-company counts are group-wide and change between reporting dates, so comparing a figure from one as-of date against one from another will mislead. No attendance, agenda or outcome figure for the New Delhi event appears in this table, because none has been published by anyone.
