Hologram hire in the UK: costs and what's included.

What the day rate covers, and what's extra

Prices are a starting point. The total depends on the days, the location and what you want the display to do, so every UK quote lists each item in pounds.

The extras, explained

These are the items that most often sit alongside the day rate. Each one is priced in your quote, not here.

• Content made for you. A recorded presenter, a product in 3D, a leadership message (which can even be made from photos), or an AI host. Content made for a client usually takes 2 to 4 weeks, so it is often the item that sets your booking date.
• Your own content. If you already have suitable footage, we load yours. This is usually the lightest option.
• An AI host. A life-size avatar that answers visitors from the documents you approve first, and can capture leads. It can run on-premise and offline. See AI hologram host.
• Live telepresence. A speaker in another city or country appears live at full height and takes questions. The sending end needs a 100 Mbps uplink, and a smartphone on a tripod can be the camera. See live telepresence.
• Delivery and installation. We deliver anywhere in the UK, including Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands, and delivery is charged at actual cost. The unit travels in a reusable aluminium flight case with an integrated ramp, and our own UK crew sets it up in about 2 hours once it arrives.
• An operator. Someone from our team beside the unit for the show days, at actual cost, agreed in your quote. Many hires don't need one: a recorded loop or an AI host can run unattended.
• VAT. UK VAT is added to the hire and the extras, and you are invoiced by our UK company.

What changes the total

• How many days. The minimum hire is one day. Rates for longer hires are quoted for your event, so tell us your build-up, show and breakdown days.
• Which model. The 6-foot costs less a day and suits lower ceilings and stand height limits. The 7-foot shows a person at full height.
• What it shows. Loading your own film costs less than a custom AI host or a 3D product build.
• Where it goes. The day rate is the same anywhere in the UK; delivery is charged at actual cost and depends on the location and the route in. A ground-floor hall with level access is simpler than an upper floor. Moving the 7-foot unit by lift or stairs, or out of a building, takes an 8-person crew with the flight case, and any lift must be rated 300 kg or more.
• Whether someone stays with it. An operator is optional.

Real examples: how clients kept the cost down

Our named deployments so far took place in India. The same units, content team and approach now support UK clients from Wokingham, and these cases show where the money goes.

One shoot, four days, no operator. At IMTOS 2025, Monotech Engineers' CEO welcomed every visitor to the stand as a life-size hologram for all four days. He was filmed once, and the welcome played on a loop with no live link and no operator. For a multi-day show, a recorded loop is the simplest way to keep the extras to content alone.

A whole collection on one unit. At Bharat Tex 2026, Shahi Exports hired one HoloBox911 and showed its collection on it: life-size model walks and garments at true scale, running unattended for four days. One hired unit carried the whole collection.

A product too big to ship. At SFI Expo 2026, Fluidra showed an Olympic pool, a diving pool and a plant room in 3D on one HoloBox911, turned landscape for the first time. Visitors explored all three through the touch panel. The content did the work, on a single unit.

No flights. For its HR Convention in New Delhi, Hitachi brought an executive in from a Tokyo studio, live and life-size, through HoloBox911 telepresence. When a speaker would otherwise fly in, telepresence can change the budget for the whole event.

Build once, run twice. At X Stock Elevate 2026, delivered with Virtusa, NatWest Group ran the same HoloBox911 experience in Bengaluru and Gurugram on the same day. The content was built once for both cities.

Hire, buy or lease?

Hire suits a single show, a launch or a short campaign. If you plan to use a display for most of the year, in a lobby, showroom or experience centre, buying or leasing is usually the better fit. Both models can be bought. The 7-foot can also be leased. A purchase includes delivery, installation and commissioning, training with a sign-off, a user and care guide, a warranty certificate, and support and escalation contacts, with a one-year warranty and years 2 and 3 available by quote.
