This is what Maruti Suzuki hired. Someone asks a question out loud. The hologram gives them an answer.
Hitachi hired the unit for one keynote. It is the same unit, unreconfigured, that carries the five jobs below — worth knowing before you decide whether to hire one or install one.

An executive in Tokyo streamed onto the New Delhi stage, life-size and live. HoloBox911 ran capture, stream, live show management and post — this is the job the unit was hired to do.

A rail bogie or grid transformer stands life-size on the stand — hardware too heavy to ship, walked around at full scale.

A plant schematic pulled apart mid-air, operating data running live against it, explorable while the delegate stands there.

A specialist joins a Delhi briefing from a Tokyo desk, at full height, answering in the room rather than on a laptop screen.

A safety procedure demonstrated by the engineer who wrote it, once, then replayed at every site induction.

An AI avatar fielding dealer questions, or a product reveal timed to a stage cue — formats tested before they are committed to.
An audience gives a screen about two seconds. It gives a person the whole room. Live hologram streaming exploits that gap — the figure on the stage is person-sized, occupies space, and holds attention the way a body does and a broadcast never has.
A HoloBox renders that figure inside an 86-inch 4K transparent LCD enclosure at true human scale. Nothing is worn, nothing is issued at the door, and the lights stay up — everyone in the hall sees the same figure at once.
For a live event, the executive can be streamed in from anywhere — holographic telepresence, sometimes called holoportation or a hologram video call. Hitachi kept their leader in Tokyo and put him on the Delhi stage.

Every HoloBox pairs a true-4K, high-transmission transparent panel with a purpose-built operating system and control app, so holographic content renders sharply and runs reliably without a technical crew. The specification details below sets out panel size, resolution, the glasses-free viewing method and what ships in the flight case.

A pre-recorded address plays to an emptying room. The event needed him live and answerable in the moment — which meant his body in Delhi, or something the audience would accept in its place.

Tokyo to Delhi and back for one address is the better part of a working week off the most expensive schedule in the company. The event date was fixed. The calendar was not negotiable.

No second take, no cut to a backup slide. Whatever went on stage had to hold synchronisation and quality for the full address, in front of the assembled company.
A hologram display puts a life-size figure inside a transparent optical enclosure, so a room reads it as occupying space rather than as footage on a panel. The HoloBox uses an 86-inch 4K transparent display. Nothing is worn, nothing is issued at the door, and the lights stay up.
A green screen behind the speaker, chroma key removing it in real time, and the isolated figure sent to the HoloBox at up to 2K over Ethernet, WiFi or 4G. It renders inside the enclosure at full human height. HoloBox911 takes the captured feed through post afterwards.
Hitachi's executive addressed their New Delhi event from a Tokyo studio, live and life-size, with no drops across the presentation. The capture rig travels to the speaker instead of the speaker travelling to the audience. Some call it holoportation; the mechanics are the same.
Nothing is worn. The hologram is visible naked-eye to everyone present at once, which is what makes it usable on a stage in front of an assembled company rather than one delegate at a time.
For a keynote, yes. Hitachi's executive gave an afternoon to the address rather than the working week a Tokyo-Delhi round trip costs, and no flights were booked. The audience got him live at full height, not a broadcast - a distinction a video call cannot close.
Mains power and a connection: Ethernet, WiFi or 4G to stream live, or local media to run offline. It is self-contained - no rigging, no special lighting, no darkened room. Configuration-specific figures are in the HoloBox911 brochure.
An event hire is scheduled around the date: capture setup at the origin, a connectivity check, a rehearsal. A standing installation is scheduled around the site instead. HoloBox911 runs hardware, content, streaming and live show management end to end.
